POSITION:  E-Commerce Sales Manager

REPORTS TO:  General Manager & Sales Managers


PURPOSE OF POSITION OVERVIEW

As the E-Commerce Sales Manager,  you will be responsible to successfully monitor all internet leads, phone calls, and unsold follow-up with internet prospects. This position is also responsible for working with the sales managers and sales consultants in order to maximize sales department revenue. You must be a customer service oriented individual with goal organizational skills, in order to manage incoming customer leads. You must be able to speak about all franchise brand products, current monthly programs and promotions, as well as having a thorough understanding of automotive leasing and financing.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring and contacting of all Internet leads from our website, dealer, manufacturer and third party sites 

  • Monitor all sales staff members leads and follow-up procedure 

  • Monitoring and distributing all internet leads to sales staff appropriately 

  • Assist in determining each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening 

  • Daily and weekly touch bases with sales staff members on current and working internet prospects and leads 

  • Learning, understanding, and adhering to call and email scripts 

  • Create, oversee and maintain internet sales email templates 

  • Assist sales staff in setting and confirming appointments, following up for each shown or missed appointment 

  • Assist in gathering information from customers such as credit apps, additional paperwork and getting that information back to them in a timely manner 

  • Meeting with the sales managers objectives, planned activities, reviews and analysis of internet sales 

  • Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance of internet related sales

  • Responsible for all inbound phone calls and high volume of email correspondence. 

  • Have thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services. 

  • Direct customers to sales consultants for questions regarding  product information resources, including those available on the Internet. 

  • Understands the psychology of Internet customers and works with them accordingly to help them with their decision and sets an appointment for proper vehicle demonstration.

  • Talk with prospects and determine what type of vehicle customers are looking for, as well as which particular features they are looking for

  • If sales consultants are unavailable you may need to conduct test drive of vehicles 

  • Have a clear understanding and vast knowledge of manufactures current, past, and future incentives/programs 

  • Have a working knowledge of manufactures programs and dealerships current promotions. This  includes current pricing, any special product considerations.

  •  Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment. 

  • Have vast knowledge of new and pre-owned warranty, pre-paid maintenance 

  • Participate in training directives from the manufacture or dealership on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly training directives.

  • Assist in maintaining and keeping accurate and detailed records of internet sales, appointments, and follow ups

  • Assist/attend in planning dealership and manufactures events inside and outside of the dealership

  • Support and assist in any other internet sales tasks as assigned by upper management.

  • Assist in oversight and reporting of dealership CRM system


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years of experience in sales or customer service management role

  • 2+ years of experience in managing a team

  • 2+ years of experience working with customers in the luxury retail space 

  • 2+ years of  experience working with customers in the ecommerce space, or selling products  or services "virtually"

  • Ability to operate computer applications such as word processing;  spreadsheets, web based sites, and CRM databases

  • General understanding of automotive industry retail processes are preferred but not required
